Skin Boosters
Radiant
Skin boosters improve fine lines and wrinkles, producing firmer younger looking skin.
What are skin boosters?
A skin booster is injectable hyaluronic acid that is injected into the skin to improve skin texture, hydration, and tone. Skin boosters are liquid hyaluronic acid, unlike dermal fillers that are solid hyaluronic acid. The liquid skin booster is injected and disperses under the skin, stimulating your own collagen and elastin, giving a lifted, dewy, and more radiant appearance.
As we age our bodies natural hyaluronic acid resources start to decrease, this often results in several visible skin changes, such as, laxity, crepiness, fine lines and wrinkles and a loss of volume in the face.
Saturating the cells with hyaluronic acid gives the skin an intense boost of hydration, essentially moisturising from the inside out! Restoring luminosity and firmness to the skin whilst also helping to rebuild collagen.
How many sessions?
You will need at least 2 possibly 3 sessions to get maximum results, you’ll start to see an improvement in your skin at around 3 weeks after your first treatment, and you will see fantastic results after your second and third treatments.
Treatment time?
Skin boosters are a quick treatment, taking roughly 5 minutes to inject a whole face, it feels like a stingy sensation whilst being injected but that only lasts a few seconds.
Treatments are administered 4 weeks apart and last up to six months, prolonged treatments will slow the aging process and by incorporating this into your skin care routine you will be less prone to fine lines and wrinkles.
Most people are good candidates for skin boosters, whether young or old, male, or female, although a consultation is required.
Studies have shown menopausal and post-menopausal women will reap the greatest benefits, as the skin boosters will hugely help with the quality of the skin, hydrate and improve elasticity.
There are minimal risks associated with skin boosters, and there is little down time. Straight after your treatment you may notice small bumps at the injection sites, these will settle relatively quickly. You may also bruise but this is uncommon, you can minimise bruising by avoiding alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment and avoid anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen before and after your treatment.
There are many different skin boosters on the market, each one targeting different skin concerns and age groups. As a general guide the more hyaluronic acid content the higher the price, the older we get the more hyaluronic acid we need therefore the more expensive skin boosters we’ll need such as Profhilo.
