Safe and Effective
If you have made the decision to have your old unwanted tattoo removed, then you are in the right place.
I use the safest and most clinically effective laser tattoo removal machine, which gives fantastic results. The laser is used to safely fragment the ink of your tattoo and you’re your own immune system will dispose of the tiny fragments.
Successful removal depends on several things, the age of the tattoo, colours of the tattoo, the type of ink used, the location of your tattoo, and its depth. Also, your healing ability and health.
How does tattoo removal work?
Tattoos are removed using a Q-Switched laser, these generate a high-powered beam of laser light in a very short pulse. The short pulse of light is absorbed by the ink which in turn breaks down the ink into small pieces that are removed by your body’s immune system.
Several sessions are needed to gradually fade and essentially remove the tattoo.
Does tattoo removal hurt?
Each impact on the skin from the laser will cause a feeling many describe as an elastic band ping. An instant whitening of the treated area can be seen immediately, but this generally fades quickly. The area can feel tender for a few hours post-treatment and may be red and swollen for up to 48 hours.
How long does the treatment take?
Treatment times depend on the size of the tattoo, but on average 30 minutes. If treating larger tattoos this will need to be done in sections and over many sessions.
Depending on the age, location, colours, and density of your tattoo you may need up to 12 treatments, these should be spaced 6-10 weeks apart to allow your body to remove the ink particles successfully.
What colours can be removed?
Most colours can be removed except green and white, but these colours can usually be covered with a cover up tattoo.
What are the side effects?
There are some side effects and these are all normal and manageable.
Blistering – This is normal, the skin will heal.
Scabbing – Sometimes scabbing may occur, it is imperative you do not pick any scabs.
Infection – It is important to keep the area treated clean after treatments and maintain good hygiene.
Allergic reaction – You may develop an allergic reaction to the ink that released into your system.
Swelling and redness – this may last for up to 72 hours
