What is Nucleofill Hair?

Nucleofill Hair is a treatment based on polynucleotides – purified fragments of DNA (often derived from fish). These are used in aesthetic/dermatological treatments to help with hair loss, thinning, and to improve hair follicle health.  

How It Works

Here are the ways polynucleotide / Nucleofill Hair is thought to work:

1. Stimulation of hair follicles/follicle trophism

The treatment improves the “trophism” (nutritional/physiological health) of hair follicles, making them function better. 

2. Improved microcirculation

It helps with the forming of micro-blood vessels in the scalp, improving oxygen and nutrient delivery to hair follicles. 

3. Anti-inflammatory effects and oxidative stress reduction

Because inflammation and oxidative damage can impair hair growth, the treatment’s anti-inflammatory properties and antioxidant effects are helpful. 

4. Hydration and structural support

The polynucleotides have phosphate groups which help bind water in extracellular / intercellular spaces, improving hydration and possibly structural integrity. 

5. Modulation of androgen activity

There is mention in sources that the treatment may reduce the follicles’ sensitivity (affinity) to androgens (which in many people contribute to hair loss). Possibly acting as a “false substrate” or modulating receptor or enzymatic pathways.
